The "elite" owners have sold the hotel to the Bonderli AG in Thun. The restaurant, bar-lounge and the 39 rooms are maintained. On January 1st 2014, the Bonderli AG based in Thun acquired the property at Bernstrasse 1. Behind the AG lies the Zanker family, Nikola and Bernd. The former owners Margarita and Hans Riesen sold the building because of their retirement. Successive renewalThe Zanker family has been almost ten years in the Oberland and has been thinking of purchasing a suitable object. "With the Hotel Elite, the Zanker couple and their children have found the ideal place." The new owners will renew the business successively and continue to provide a 3- star city and conference hotel.The 39 rooms are to be retained as well as the restaurant and the bar-lounge “Anthra” with the bowling alley. While the bar continues to be operated by the previous tenant, the adjoining restaurant is still searching for a suitable tenant. |
